About the Vitamin B12 Patch?
The Vitamin B12 Patch manufactured by Vita Sciences is the only clinically tested, patent pending B12 Patch in existence. The B12 Patch was developed by leading scientists in transdermal technology. From time to time other products may purport to delivery similar benefits, however transdermal technology is a complex science, and these products should not be relied upon.
Why the cyanocobalamin form Of Vitamin B-12?
In the development of the patch our research team considered a variety of forms of Vitamin B12 and found cyanocobalamin to be superior to the others from a standpoint of stability in particular for this mode of delivery. For an ingredient to be effective in a patch, it has to withstand the needed steps in manufacturing and use. For example other forms of B12 are significantly prone to degradation and as a result are difficult to produce in patch form (as opposed to an injectable where it is protected and stabilized for oxygen, light and temperature). In addition to using the most stable form of vitamin B12 we further protect our active ingredient by utilizing a proprietary method to protect potency.
Where should the patch be placed?
Apply one B12 Patch to a clean and dry area of the skin behind the ear lobe on the neck.
Can I apply more than one Vitamin B12 Patch a week?
Yes you may apply more than one patch per week. The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies did not establish an upper limit (UL) for Vitamin B12 because vitamin B12 has a very low potential for toxicity. However we recommend taking one Vitamin B12 Patch per week as this should give you an adequate supply of B12.
Can B12 cause someone to lose sleep?
People react to B12 in different ways. For some, it may cause increased
energy, and as a result, should not be taken right before bedtime.
Fortunately, the solution is simple. Apply the B12 Patch in the morning.
Will the Vitamin B12 Patch create problems with any of the medications
I'm
taking?
Typically, our product does not have negative reactions with medication.
However, we recommend that you always consult with a physician.
Does the Vitamin B12 Patch help diabetics or are there any adverse
effects?
B12 is recommended for diabetics because they are at a higher risk for
developing heart disease and other ailments. The only problem is that with
diabetics it is going to be harder to see the results as far as energy and
such, because blood sugar levels can affect mood, energy levels, etc. If a
person's blood sugar is unstable, the effects of B12 (though good) will
not
be as noticeable until the person's blood sugar is under good control.
There
are no adverse affects of taking B12 and being diabetic, but as always,
please consult with your physician.
What type of B12 does your product contain?
The source for the Vitamin B12 Patch is cyanocobalamin. Cyanocobalamin
is the most stable form of Vitamin B12 and therefore is the best form
that can be used most effectively in a patch.
It is derived from a derivative of bacteria. Other products may claim
to have other forms of B12 combined with additional ingredients in one single dime size patch, however
the likelihood of these working effectively is highly suspect
given the constraints of patch size, stability, and absorption issues. |
